Cam Blanks are for use on automatic screw machines and are furnished for lead, cross section and vertical slide attachment cams. They are made from mild steel and are provided with a locating hole and are bored, turned and graduated into 100 sectors. These divisions are for convenience in laying out the cam to be cut. Shaft holes are a few thousandths undersize to allow for growth to correct fit after hardening. Cam blanks for No. 4 Machine are provided with the necessary holes but are not graduated.
