Releasing tap holders have a clutch mechanism which releases the tap when it reaches the required depth. They work well in hand operated machines and on automatic machines when you need a releasing holder to simplify the cam design.

Holders are furnished for right-hand tapping. They can be converted to left-hand tapping simply by changing the roll to the other pocket provided in the head. Holders are provided with a through hole as well as a reversible hardened driving key and variable pull-out.
